Dumpster Rental in El Cerrito: What the Work Looks Like
El Cerrito climbs from the bungalow blocks along San Pablo Ave up into the hillside streets below the Arlington (Mira Vista, St. Jerome's and the streets off Contra Costa Dr), where driveways are short, sloped and often stacked above the road. The residential work is 1920sโ50s homes being remodeled, foundations and seismic work, ADUs, and defensible-space clearing on the parcels near Arlington Blvd that sit in the state's very high fire-hazard zone.
Along San Pablo Ave the city is adding apartments block by block, and the El Cerrito Plaza BART site is becoming 743 homes in phases, with the first 70 under construction since late 2025. We dispatch El Cerrito from Hayward up I-880 and I-580, about 35 minutes, on the same route as Berkeley, Albany and Richmond, and we place bins on private property: a driveway, side yard, jobsite or private lot.
